"Face in the Rain" was recorded in Nashville's RCA Studio B, home to artists like Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, and Floyd Cramer. The studio's Steinway grand was a perfect fit for that yearning-with-a-groove feel we wanted.

“Everybody Knows About Me” is about someone who lives with an invisible illness called myalgic encephalomyelitis. ME causes debilitating pain, neurological impairment, severe immune dysfunction, crushing exhaustion that isn’t relieved by rest, and a host of other really unpleasant symptoms. If you're wondering why you've never heard of ME, that's probably because it's more commonly known as "chronic fatigue syndrome," which is a stupid name for such a serious disease.
