Cinder Bridge is an original rock band based in Tucson, Arizona. With a piano-driven sound, thought-provoking lyrics, and soulful energy, we provide a soundtrack to the dreams you don't tell anyone.

The music industry would slap a "triple-A" (adult album alternative) label on us. While reasonably accurate, most people outside the music industry have no idea what this means.

The Songs

Our songs cover topics that people have been exploring since language was invented. Hope. Insecurity. Friendship. Loneliness. The desire to find one's place in the world. Though it's well-nigh impossible to write something no one has written about before, we try to approach our subjects from a fresh angle. (We also strive to create engaging melodies and arrangements since, let's face it, a lot of people don't pay attention to the lyrics.)

The Founding Members

Susan Wenger
keyboard, vocals, lyrics

Susan Though I started dabbling in music when I was 6, I didn't seriously try my hand at songwriting until I was well into adulthood (or what passed for it). In the beginning I worked mostly in secret -- it wasn't so much that I believed my stuff was no good as that the whole thing felt slightly ridiculous. When you think about it, taking one's innermost feelings and trying to make them rhyme is a pretty goofy way of expressing oneself. But I persevered, gradually told my friends and family what I was up to, and am now living openly as a lyricist.

When I'm not in rehearsal or struggling with my latest creation ("What rhymes with 'superfluous'?"), you'll often find me working as an editor/designer to support my music habit.

Ron Amistadi
drums, moral support

Ron Music has a profound impact on each and every one of us, even if we don't realize it. It is the universal language, with no borders, boundaries, or constraints except the ones we place on it. Without music, our lives would be something I cannot even imagine. I have played in various situations and have always come away more amazed by how incredible it really is.

Confluences and influences: Every single note I have ever heard. The major players are rock, funk, jazz, blues, and folk rock. So many musicians have influenced my playing that naming individual people is really difficult. I try to pass the legacy on through my teaching -- contact me if you're interested in drum lessons.
